RESERVE OF PILOTS.
Tho Middle Districts Aero Club advertises that applications will bo received from young men between 17j and 25 years of age in the Manawatu, Feilding, and Levin districts for selection as candidates for training by the club during the coming year at the Government’s expense, towards building up the Civil Reserve of Pilots. This was inaugurated last year as a commencement of the Government’s fouryear scheme of training 100 reserve pilots per year, with the co-operation of the aero clubs throughout Now Zealand. Nine reserve pilots were trained locally last year, and a similar number is to be selected for the present year. A high standard of physical fitness is required, and the educational qualifications include matriculation or three years’ secondary education. Fidl information and forms of application for enrolment may bo obtained by those possessing tho neccsasry qualifications from the secretary of tho Middle Districts Aero Club (Mr K. G. Chamberlain), National Bank Building, Palmerston North.
