FEILDING STOCK SALE.

ASSOCIATED AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT. The Associated Auctioneers report on the Foikling sale on Friday a.* follows:—The yarding of some 14,000 sheep comprised mainly lambs of nil classes with a few pens of store wethers and ewes. In the fat sheep section there was a small offering of wethers and owes and four small lots of lambs. Little interest was displayed in the fats, and as the duality was generally not up to the mark tlie sale dragged somewhat with no alteration in values. The demand for lambs was steady, but except for black faces bidding was irregular and on the whole white faces showed u slight drop on last week’s rates. Black faces, both rape and store lots, were, however, in very active demand and for these classes values showed a rise oh late sales. The offering of store wethers was seemed by Taranaki buyers at prices which should show a good margin for fattening. There were no outstanding, lots of breeding ewes on offer. Owners of breeding ewes are holding back for tile forthcoming ew'o fairs and prices realised at this sale cannot be taken as an indication of values. In the cattle section a few‘liens of steers and heifers came forward with the usual yarding of potter cows and oddments. The offering of beef comprised mostly ex-dairy sorts with a few lots of station bred cattle. Run store cattle except heifers were not in demand, potters sold at full late rates, Beef' prices were unchanged., Quotations:—Fat lambs, 14s to 245; fat ewes. 16s to 18s 6d; fat wethers, 18s to 26s 9d; 2-tooth ewes, 25s Bcl to 295; syr ewes, 18s to 225; aged ewes, 13s 7d to 17s 6d; store wethers, 16s 9d to 20s; b.f. lambs, woolly, 15s 7d to 18s; b.f. lambs, shorn, 16s to 18s; medium, 13s to 15s 9d; culls, 8s to 11s 6d; owe lambs, tops shorn, 22s to 24s 6d; woolly tops, to 24s 6d; medium, 15s to 18s; culls, 11s 6d to 14s; wether lambs, woolly tops, 15s 4d to 17s Id; medium, 13s to 14s 6d; culls, 6s 6d to 10s 3d; shorn tops, 15s to 17s; medium, lls lOd to 14s 4d, culls 5s 7d to 11s 2d.
