WIRTH’S CIRCUS.
WIDE VARIETY PRESENTED. Concluding its local season with matinee and evening performances on Saturday, AVirth’s Circus again Presented a programme that had a wide appeal, for it was never dull, and entertained young and old alike. In addition to maintaining the high standard for which Wirth’s is famous throughout the Dominion in its purely circus acts of the older kind, the management lias gathered together an outstanding collection of acrobats, tumblers, and other novel items which make the’show' well worth seeing again. The animal acts -were well carried out, from the opening item by Captain Flyger and the performing tigers right through the programme of evolutions by elephants, ponies, horses and monkeys. The otlier features such as acrobatic and balancing numbers were cleverly executed, particularly those of the Four Kobes, the Nelson Troupe, the Three Houstons, and the Ten Ziganies. To wdnd up a fine programme came the sensational motor-cycle aerial act of the Dare-Devil Onotos, a breathtaking item such as has never before been seen here.
