Struck a vicious blow on the forehead by an unknown man as sbe was proceeding to her home at Onehnnga late on Saturday night, a young married woman, Mrs Edna Hirst, was rescued by neatly residents, who came to her assistance when they heard her scream. Mrs Hirst came to a dark part of the road, and was about to pass a man walking in the.opposite direction when without warning he raised his fist and struck her a heavy blow on the forehead.
