FAR EAST STRIFE.
PHOTOGRAPHERS ATTACKED. JAPANESE INTERVENTION. Received January 31, 10.15 a.m. SHANGHAI, Jan. 30. A party of Japanese attacked an American, Mr V. F. Meisling, of the staff of the North China Daily News, and a Dane, Dr. Eskelund, for taking news photographs and films ui the Yangtsepoo area. . , , A Japanese Army officer intervened and secured their release. He confiscated the films.
