COURT OF ARBITRATION. EXTENSION OF AWARD IN NORTHERN, TARANAKI, WELLINGTON, MARLBO ROUGH, NELSON, CANTERBURY AND OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS. IN THE MATTER of the MOTOR AND HORSE DRIVERS’ AWARD, dated the 21st December, 1936. TAKE NOTICE that an application has been made to the Court of Arbitration by one of the parties to the above-mentioned award for a General Order extending the said award so as to join and bind as parties thereto all Trade Unions, Industrial Unions, Industrial Associations and Employers engaged in the industry and area covered by the said award on the ground that the said award is already binding on a majority of the employers in the industry and area to which the award relates. TN the matter of the “Local Bodies -L Loans Act, 1926,” and the “Municipal Corporations’ Act, 1933,” and its amendments, and all other acts ana powers, if any, enabling the Council in that behalf. The Palmerston North City Council hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to raise a s Pcin Loan of Ten Thousand Pounds (LIU,000) at a rate of Interest not exceeding £3 10s Od per centum per annum for the purpose of enabling the said Council to relay the Main Sewer in College Street West, Botanical Road and Ferguson Street, and to purchase all Materials required in connection therewith, and for the purpose of P r ?T viding for the repayment of the said Special Loan and for the payment ot. Interest and other charges on or in connection with the said Loan, and a Sinking Fund of £3 10s per centum per annum to appropriate and pledge as security a Special Rate of one-elev-e'nth (1-llth) of a penny in the Pound sterling on the rateable value ot all rateable property in the City of I almerston North, comprising the whole of the City, on the basis of the Unimproved value. such rate to be a.n annually recurring rate during the currency of such Special Loan, and to be made and levied by resolution of the said Council to be passed after the said Special Loan has been agreed to by the Ratepayers. The whole of the said Loan is to be repaid at the expiration of Twenty (20) years from the date ot ■aising the same.
