OLDFIELD’S OMISSION.
DEPLORED BY CRITICS. SYDNEY, Jan. 28. Former international cricket players and Prees critics deplore the omission of Oldfield, in particular, and Grimmett and Gregory from the team. Mr Warren Bardsley (a former Test player) says that Oldfield is still the best wicket-keeper in the world. Mr C. G. Macartney says that the omission of Oldfield is a tragedy.
