WOODVILLE, Jan. 27. Mrs G. L. B. Whillans is visiting Napier. Mrs A. F. Stevenson and the Misses Stevenson t£re on holiday at Napier. Mrs R. O’Neill is spending a holiday at Manawatu Heads, Foxton. Mrs Redwood and Miss M. Redwood, of Woodville, and Miss E. Redwood, of Palmerston North, have been visiting Wanganui for the Red-wood-McDonald wedding. Mrs Hislop and her daughter, Mrs Harris, of Woodville, with Mrs Boyens, senr., of Pahiatua, have now returned to their homes. An accident occurred on the Main Road about six .miles north of Woodville at about 10.45 o’clock on Tuesday morning, when a service van, which was driven by Mr D. S. Crichton, left the road. The van collided with a rail telegraph post before coming to rest at tile roadside and was severely damaged. The driver had a miraculous escape from injury, suffering only abrasions to his arms and legs and a cut on the head.
