(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASI-IHURST, Jan. 28. The following were the scores recorded by members in the last practice shoot of the Rifle Club, at 300 .. and 500 yards: R. A. Jones 97, J. B. Searle 95, M. Ilausmann 92, H. Rusell 90, S. J. Brookie 84. 500 and 600 yards: J. B. Searle 95, M. Ilausmann 94. R. A. Jones'94, S. J. Brookie 89, 11. Russell 88. At the Ran-gitikoi-Cheltonhani rifle meeting, J. B. Searle secured fourth place, R. A. Jones sixth, and M. Ilausmann eighth. J. B. Searle annexed the handicap cup and R. A. Jones shared first honour in the 500 yards match with a possible. Mr and Mrs J. 11. Sumner, of Pohangina Road, have returned home after spending a holiday at Foxton Beach. Mr and Mrs J. G. Blcakley are spending their vacation at the Sounds.
