The Army Journal publishes belated accounts of the privations of. 400 Italians who were surrounded at La Libela by Abyssinian rebels during the rainy season, for the whole of August and September. Aeroplanes flew 200 miles from Diredawa daily, dropping food and munitions to those beleaguered, harassing the besiegers in the same period. The Italians, as a protective measure, dropped 6834 bombs on the railway from. Addis Ababa to Moggio.
EARLIER STORY DENIED
FIGHTING IN ABYSSINIA,
ROME, Jan. 26. Official quarters deny the story from the Abyssinian Legation in London concerning fighting in ■ Abyssinia and point out that it coincides with the League meeting at Geneva. It is regarded as a manoeuvre to win sympathy. , Officials declare that Italy controls every part of Ethiopia.
