SOLDIERS DIE
from cold and hunger. CONDITIONS IN SPAIN. STORY OF MISERY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received January 28, 10.45 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 27. The British United Press Barcelona correspondent says that insurgent deserters declare that a revolt of two of their regiments at Saragossa against the food and clothing had to be forcibly quelled. Six officers and ten soldiers were court-martialled and shot.
They also relate that when an insurgent hospital train was snowbound near Saragossa 84 wounded soldiers died from the cold and hunger.
