FEILDING STOCK SALE.
20,000 SHEEP YARDED. SPLENDID ENTRY OF STORE LAMBS. Again sheep came forward for the weekly stock sale at Feilding to-day in greater numbers than were anticipated. and although only 12,000 were provided for in the early entries, that number was swelled to over 20.000 at 11 a.m. Store lambs, mostly of very good quality and nearly all shorn, comprised the greater part of the yarding. Two-tooth and aged ewes were penned in considerable numbers, while wethers c ’ctrpied several pens. \ Aj>nrt • from ewes, which did not co tifei forward in large numbers, the fat .e'A'J) section was comfortably filled 'vyTijwethers and young sheep. yWfew pens of two and three-year Hereford and Hereford cross .steers were yarded in the cattle department, but the entries for boner rows and dairy cows and heifers were light. There was the usual ya.rding of exdairy beef.
Prices up to 1 p.m. were as follow;
Fat sheep.—Lambs, woolly. 14s. 10s, 245; shorn. 17s 2d. 19s 2d;‘w.f. wethevS. 22s 22s Id. 23s Id 23s 3d. 23s 9d. 23s 10d. 24s Id. 24s Bd, 255; woolly b.f.. 26s 3d, 26s 9d. 275; shorn b.f,, 235. 24s 3d: ewes, 16s. 16s 4d. 16s 6d, 17s 6d. 17s 7d. 18s fid.
