SERIOUS EXPLOSION.
OCCURRENCE IN AYRSHIRE. Received Januav 28 10.45 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 27. An explosion in a gelatine mixing shed at the Nobel works in Ayrshire killed six persons, including a woman. A dozen were injured but none seriously. The cause of the explosion is unknown and, as all the occupants of the mixing-house perished, it may not be ascertainable.
