KAIRANGA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ' KAIRANGA, Jan. 27. The Kairanga Hall was a scene of gaiety last night, when the Jubilee Committee held another enjoyable dance. The hall was decorated with green, orange and yellow streamers. Mr Bignall played an extra. Mr F. Gedson acted as M.C. The lucky Monte Carlo was won by Miss Hodge and Mr Bignall, and the lucky spot dance by Miss I. Green and Mr McKenzie. The doorkeepers were Messrs A. Pederson and B. Crosby. Mr Bignall entertained with songs. Miss F. Eglinton was in charge of an ice-cream stall. Among those present were Mrs J. Anderson, Misses H. Sutherland, W. Hibbard, Mrs I. Sutherland, Mrs B. Clarke, Misses G. Linklater, flora] ; Diveall, black velvet; A. Tennant (Bainesse), bottle-green velvet; R. Ennis, L. Smith, floral georgette; L. Powell, floral georgette; A. Gardiner, navy; N. Lawrence, red; A. Hodge, pink satin; Hodge, blue floral crepe; D. Tennant, J. Campbell, floral georgette; G. Jackson, floral taffeta; F. Davey, blue floral organdie; D. Clark, pink floral georgette; N. Jackson, green satin; L. Goudy, white silk; Mrs A. Pedersen, wine velvet; Misses I. Green, F. Eglinton, B. Hory (Timaru), Mrs C. Tate. Mrs Btumeister, Mrs Green, Mrs J. Clark. Miss Gladys Hyde has returned home after an extensive tour of the Auckland district with Mr and Mrs C, Hyde, junr., of Palmerston North. Miss Marjorie Carson, of Opiki, and Miss Beth Ilayton, of Palmerston North, spent part of the holidays with Mr and Mrs _L. Clark. Mr and Mrs G. Davey and Misses Davey are on holiday at Foxton Beach. Mr and Mrs O. Collis and Misses Collis have been spending a holiday at Eastbourne. Mr and Mrs K. Prouse and family have been spending a holiday at Foxton Beach. Mr and Mrs M. Turner and family are home after a holiday at Eastbourne. Miss J. Green is pn holiday in Auckland. Mrs Gawith, of Lower Hutt, and her granddaughter, Miss Jean Campbell, and Mrs Clark, of Palmerston North, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs L. Clark.
