OTTAWA AGREEMENTS.
QUESTION OF REVISION,
AUSTRALIAN INTEREST.
SYDNEY, Jan. 27.
Australia’s Ministerial delegation to the conference for revision of the Ottawa Agreements, at London, will be the Minister of Commerce (Sir Earle Page), the Attorney-General (Mr R. G. Menzies), and the Minister of Customs (Mr T. W. White). Senior officers of the Commonwealth will 1 leave for Wasliingtno next month to make preliminary arrangements for a commercial agrement with the United States. The Ministerial delegation will sail for London direct in March, and is likely to visit Washington on, the return journey. It is understood that the proposed trade agreement with the United States will have an important bearing upon the discussions for the revision of the Ottawa pacts. The Federal Cabinet, which met at Sydney to-day, discussed the report by the Minister of Customs concerning his trade talks with New Zealand. MR PARRY’S DISCUSSIONS. Advantage of the visit of a number of Federal Ministers to Sydney has been taken by Mr W. E. Parry (New Zealand Minister of Internal Affairs) to discuss matters of international importance with them. Several conferences have also beeiv held between Mr Parry and New South Wales Ministers, as well as other visiting State Ministers. Mr Parry stated that he had been met by a general readiness to co-operate, but larger. questions could not be discussed until the conclusion of tho chief sesquicontenary festivities.
