INTERNATIONAL PROBLEMS.
PROFESSOR’S ANALYSIS. LONDON, Jan. 26. Introducing Professor Allan Fisher to the Institute of International Affairs, Viscount Cecil of Chehvood paid tribute to him and said that already lie had made iris mark as an original thinker of unusual clarity iu his subject. , . Professor Fisher, delivering Ins inaugural address, entitled “International Problems of Economic Change,” said that the essential task was a fundamental analysis of countries’ divergent purposes and objectives, also a more penetrating examination of vested interests, which opposed adjustments essential to secure international changes. “It will be difficult to get far without treading on somebody’s corns, but w'e must follow the argument wherever it leads,” he said.
Professor A. G. B. Fisher, of Dunedin, arrived in London recently and lias taken up the research professorship in international economics at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House.
