It is expected that Cabinet '»ill give final consideration to ihe national superannuation plan next week. 'lliis was indicated by the Prime Alinister (lit. Horn M. J. Savage) in an inteiview this evening. “Good progress has been niado with the preparation of the scheme for national superannuation,” Air Savage said. “Cabinet has discussed the subject on several occasions recently with the result that the Alinister of Finance (Hon. AV. Nash) and the exports aru now putting on paper the basic principles of the Government’s plan together with the financial details. The question should come before Cabinet next week for conclusive consideration. Legislation giving effect fo the national superannuation scheme will certainly be submitted to Parliament early in March.”
