PREVENTIVE MEDICINE.
RESEARCH IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) Received January 26. 10.0 a.m. . RUGBY, Jan. 25. . A new line of research in preventive medicine was revealed by the Prime Alinister (Air Neville Chamberlain) at the annual ilieeting of the London School of Hygieno and Tropical Aledicine. He stated that Imperial Chemical Industries were providing £2OOO a year for four years for research into chemical immunity, the object of which was to isolate from dead bodies organisms which caused a number of diseases, including whooping cough, typhoid fever, cholera, and puerperal fbver, those chemical constituents which could be. injected into living persons to give them immunity without disagreeable or injurious reactions.
