The recent protracted spell of hot, fine weather is viewed 'in a favourable light by many Dargaville farmers. Although, as a result of the dry. weather this season, production has declined; land should receive a chance to dry out, instead of remaining water-logged and muddy throughout both winter’ and summer,' 1 as was the case last season. This -should- bo reflected in improvement' in production • next season.
