SAMOAN PARTY.
MEETING WITH MINISTER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 24. Tho Samoan delegation arrived at Wellington this morning from Auckland and were met by the Minister of Lands (Hon. F. Langstone), who entertained the visitors at morning tea. The delegation later called on the Prime Minister (Mr Savage) to convey their respects and goodwill, the speakers being Galu Alipa (leader of the Council of District Chiefs) and Mr 0. F. Nelson. Mr Savage was presented with what appeared to be a native club, but which is understood to be a token of goodwill. Subsequently Mr Savage said that the first meeting with Mr Langstone would take place to-morrow, when a number of Samoan problems would be discussed. He*himself would attend the later meetings to discuss other domestic problems with the Samoans. Despite the weather tho Samoans wore sun helmets, lava lavas, and sandals.
