LAMB PRICES STEADY.
The Bank of New Zealand (produce department) has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business last week: There is a moderate demand for wethers, and prices are a little lower. The market for ewes is rather easior. The demand and prices for lambs are steady. There is a steady trade in chilled beef at somewhat bettor prices. Wethers, light, 5d to per lb; heavy, 33d to 4.d. Ewes, 3d to 4gd. Lambs, 2’s, 73<d; B’s, 7Jd to 8d ; seconds, 7sd. Chilled hinds, sid to s^d; fores, 3id to 3Jd.
