YACHT RACE.

COMPETITOR SIGHTED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Jan. 22. Advice by wireless from Rear-Ad-miral the Hon. E. R. Drummond states that the Achilles passed the yacht Aurora Star at 11 a.m. yesterday, 15 miles north of Cape Ma.ria Van D'iemen. The Aurora left Auckland on Tuesday evening with the yacht Wayfarer in the race to Hobart. When sighted she had covered 240 miles at an average of four knots. The Wayfarer was not seen.
