DOMINION STAND
AT EMPIRE EXHIBITION. Received January 22, 1.30 p.inLONDON, Jan. 21. The High Commissioner for New Zealand (Mr W. J. Jordan) has accepted the tender of the Spiers Uompany, Glasgow, for the New Zealan pavilion at the Empire Exhibition, I price is well under the estimates a.n< the building will be ready for occupation on March 31. It will be a J ar £ building of a modern design by Mr it. N. Vanes, formerly of Dunedin, or Williams and Company, London, architects. Mr Harold Williams, the principal, was formerly of Hawke s BayThe showing space of 7000 6q.. ft. i. mostly reserved by the Government and the Produce Boards, which are closely collaborating with Mr Jordan. A feature of the pavilion is a series of 14 paintings, seven on one side of the building depicting the history of New Zealand from the landing of the Maoris and the seven others portraying New link with Scotland, from the founding of Otago. Mr Jordan is directly controlling the exhibition and Mr Drew has he en appointed supervisor. Mr J. H. -nail, formerly editor of the Dominion, will have charge of the pavilion alter the opening. w .
