ARTESIAN BORE POPULAR.

Though no further developments were reported this morning in the situation regarding the unpalatable taste and odour of the city’s water supply, it was hoped that the cooler weather, following last night’s rainfall, would bring about an improvement. Ail analysis was being made by the Health Department to-day, but the-re-sult was not available at the time of the “Standard” going to press. Meanwhile extensivo use has been made by some residents of the artesian bore in Jersey Lane, and during the week-end they arrived at frequent intervals by car or cycle with cans and jars to replenish household supplies from this source.
