FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
LAMB MARKET STEADIER. / MUTTON EASIER. The lamb market is much stpadicr with prices unchanged ; consumption continues gooxl. Mutton market: Lightweight wethers easier, others.unchanged. Ewes: Weaker with slow trade. Beef market: Frozen beef firmer on the better demand. Chilled beef: Better trade and smaller supplies have improved prices. New Zealand porker pigs: Shade easier owing to warmer weather. New Zealand liaconer pigs: Slightly easier owing to weaker bacon market. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board, which is advised that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned and arc for representative parcels of the goods solxl on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market. New Zealand lamb quotations arc for new season’s arrivals.
