CHURCH FUND.

CAMPAIGN IN ENGLAND. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 22. To place the work of the Church of England in Polynesia on a firm basis, by founding a permanent endowment fund, Hon. Archdeacon M. MayoHarris, vicar of the Suva Cathedral, has conducted an extensive campaign in England during the past six months. He arrived to-day from London. He says the fruits of his work could not bo estimated yet as the campaign was on a five-year basis, but at least a third of £IO,OOO being sought, was assured. A new cathedral is at Suva in two years’ time at’ilapiost of £12,000.

Lord Nuffield had given £SOOO to the building fund.
