CHINESE FIRM.
WILL NOT YIELD RIGHTS. Received January 21, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 20. The Chinese Embassy states thatChina is doing her utmost to try to maintain her sovereign rights and territorial administrative integrity, and •will not accept any peace terms not fulfilling these conditions. The Japanese declaration of respect for Chinese foreign and* sovereign rights merely implied the dismemberment of China and' the "securing of monopolies. China regarded as null and void any acts of unlawful organisations created under the Japanese military occupation. Hankow reports that Chinese organisations have petitioned the United States Ambassador (Mr Johnson), urging the rejection of the reported Japanese requests for American credits, declaring that they will, merely help Japan against China.
