DAMAGE BY FLOODS.
COASTAL TOWNS ISOLATED. SYDNEY, Jan. 20, The floods on the North Coast are causing thousands of pounds' worth of damage. There have been heavy losses of cattle, and railway washaways have dislocated traffic. A number of small coastal towns are isolated. Many families have been rescued from the housetops. The main damage has occurred at Xyogle, Bellingen, Coramba, and settlements along the Clarence River in the vicinity of Grafton. One man was drowned. \
