LONDON AUCTION. RATES REMAIN FIRM. STRONG DEMAND FROM HOME. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received January 21, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 20. At tho wool sales 6470 bales were offered including 1966 from New Zealand, and 6847 bales were sold. There was. a fairly good selection anda strong demand from the Home trade, who, despite Continental competition, secured the bulk of the offering. Rates were lirm. New Zealand greasy crossbred, branded Owetea, top price, 12Jd; scoured crossbred lambs, branded Napier, average 15d, to|j price 17Id. BRADFORD TOPS MARKET. SLIGHTLY MORE BUSINESS. Received January 21, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 20. The Bradford tops market is steady. 'With' the London wool sales there is slightly more business. To-day’s quotations compare with those previously cabled as .follow:
