There was a good attendance of employees at the general meeting which followed. Mr Drew* presented the annual report. The balancesheet showed a very Rat ir factory credit balance. The secretary was instructed to write to the council awl thank there icxr the t»e of lorries for the annual pica ic. A motion of thanks was passed to the lorry drivers for their help; even j though it was their holiday they drove the lorries to provide transport for t.hc other employees and their families. A motion Of thanks was ’aieo passed to the secretary for his work. There were twcFre nominees for the five positions on the committee, and after a ballot t.hc committee for the ensuing year were elected as follow: Alessrs A. K. Drew, H. V. Bend, S. L. Hickiord, L. S. Sadler, and T. A. Adams. It was decided to hold the annual picnic at the Totara Reserve _ in February. The annual smoke concert ia to be held about the middle ofr May. Mr and Mrs H. Oppatt are on a motor tour of the North Island. Air and Mrs D. Grace left yesterday oh a motor trip | to Auckland. Air and Airs Hubert Flyger j and Miss Joyce Flyger, of Auckland, rue the guests of Air and Aim A. K.
