PECULIAR ACCIDENT

BROKEN LEG SUSTAINED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 20. While trying to separate two fighting bulls with a short length of iron pipe in a paddock on his father’s property at Motukarara on Wednesday afternon Alex Miller, aged about 3‘2. misjudged a swing at the bulls and struck his left leg, breaking it in two places. Miller was riding a horse at the time and was able to escape safely. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, his condition being satisfactory.
