NOTTINGHAMSHIRE LOSES £2712. LONDON. Jan. 12. „ The annual report of the Nottinghamshire Cricket Club shows a loss on the year of £2712 and the club enters the centenary year of the Trent Bridge ground with a deficit of £B6O. It is hoped that the special appeal launched last year will realise £6OOO, of which £IOOO will he spent on preparations for the test match. The decline in the team’s playing strength is attributed largely to the injuries received by Larwood. Voce, and Butler, but it is hoped that Voce will have recovered from an o|ieration on a knee before the Australians arrive.
