SAMOAN DEPUTATION.
ASSURANCES OF GOODWILL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 19. Assurances of goodwill to the New Zealand Government from Samoa will be brought by the Samoan deputation, 5 which will arrive in New Zealand tomorrow to place several questions before the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon- M. J. Savage). This was indicated by Mr Savage lit an interview this evening. “The members of the (deputation are mainly coming here to assure us of their goodwill,” Mr Savage said. “They also want to discuss their affairs with vis, of course, tot if they wore not bringing those assuuraiares of goodwill to us it would to (caatrary to. all they have said in the js&sfc.’”’ It is likely that after the deputation lias placed the major Stems it wishes to deal with before the Prime Minister,, the discussions on defeats, if thev are at all protracted, .win to liearrf by the Minister of Lands ((Korn.
