SWIMMING SPORTS.

'MUCH INTEREST SHOWN. Tho Feilding Swimming Club’s sports, last evening, held at the municipal baths, attracted a good attendance qf spectators and a large number of competitors. The handicapper was Mr Colin McKenzie, the announcer Mr 0. C. Sporle and the judges Messrs L. Jenkins and J. Johnston. The secretary (Miss Olive Sporle) stated that there were good prospects of the present season proving a - record one fmanciaJly. Some proficient swimmers had resulted from the “Learn-to-Swim Week,” held recently, and inter-j est continued unabated. A team of five] male swimmers would be competing at ; the Dannevirke evening sports for the I 500 yards Levin Cup (flying squadron j open race), while entries for the local ' carnival to be held shortly were pour- j ing in, .
