GERMAN MEASLES.

AUCKLAND GIRL ISOLATED. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, Jan. 19.. It was found on the arrival of Miss M Alitchell, javelin thrower, from Auckland to-day that she had contracted German measles. Air H. AlcCormick, manager ol the New Zealand teams for the Empire games at Sydney, stated this afternoon that Aliss Alitchell had been isolated and would remain in isolation for a week, after which it is proposed to send her to Sydney. Some concern is being felt by officials over the possibility of other members of the Auckland team, who were on the same train as Aliss Alitchell, having contracted the germ from her. If they have it will, unfortunately, be about the time ttie Empire Gnmes are due to commence that the complain will make its appearance.
