Mrs Ronald Abraham, of Te Awe Awe Street, Palmerston North, has returned from a holiday spent at Paraparaumu Beach. Mrs AV. Mills, of Fitzlierbert Avenue, left to-day to send a holiday in the Marlborough Sounds. Mrs R. W. Meßeatli, of Wellington, is on a short visit to Airs H. Palmer, of Lombard Street, Palmerston North.
Mr and Airs W. H. Boon, of Palmerston North, are spending a holiday at lvarehana Bay, PJiinmerton.
Aliss Margaret Morrow, who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs W. H. de Luen, of Palmerston North, has returned to her home in Auckland. Mr and Airs I. AVinton, of Dunedin, who are the guests of Air and Mrs J. S. AVinton, of Church Street, Palmerston North, will Jeave shortly on a motor tour of the North Island. They propose to spend about three months on a leisurely camping holiday before returning to the South Island. Alore than 300 people were present last night at the Trades Hall, Avellington, at a reception for Airs H. L. Holland, who is to return to Australia to-night. The Prime Alinister (lit. Hon. Al. J. Savage) spoke on behalf of the Government, and paid a tribute to the late Air Holland's work. He said that, although Air Holland was no longer with them, his memory was still fresh. Twin sisters who have both been married for 50 years celebrated their Both birthday on Tuesday. They are Airs A. AlcUilp, Hinemoa Street, Birkenhead, Auckland, and Airs 11. Anderson, Colenso Hill, Napier. Their husbands are 00 years of age and 84 years of age, respectively. Airs Anderson is the wife of Air Robert Anderson, who was in the service of the Pr„t and Telegraph Department at AVeilington and Napier lor 40 years. For several years he was mail agent on the steamers running between New Zealand and San Francisco. He retired 20 years ago. Air and Airs. Anderson were married in St. Paul’s Presbvterian Church at Napier on April 26, 1882.
