CRASH INTO WINDOW.

BY UNATTENDED CAR. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Jan. 19. Damage estimated at £75 was done by a motor-car which crashed into a large plate glass window on the promises of Creig and Estennan, furnishers, of Queen Street. The ear had been left by the driver. Paymaster Lieut-Commander J. K. Highton, parked above Unity Hall and unoccupied. The vehicle moved off, and running diagonally across Queen Street it mounted the footpath, missing a telegraph pole by a very small margin. The right front whoel crashed into a window, half of which was knocked out and fragments of glass, some of them of considerable size, were scattered along the pavement for about 20 yards. The window, which was eight feet high and more than 15 feet long, was valued at £SO, being insured.
