NATIONAL PARTY.
MID-CANTERBURY SEAT. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, Jan. 19. In addition to Mr R. T. McMillan the following names have been submitted for a ballot of the National Party delegates for nomination for the Mid-Canterbury seat at the general election: Messrs C. C. Campion, farmer, Methven; J. R. Fleming, farmer, Methven; and A. A. McLachlan, solicitor, Christchurch. The sitting member, Mr H. E. Herring, has been selected as the Labour candidate, and he intends to contest the seat.
