HAMILTON, Jan. 18. “The feeding of pigs in New Zealand with milk as the principal item of diet has definite advantages over the feeding system employed in England, where gram and meals'are largely used, said Dr. John Hammond, the eminent English stock authority, after a tour of the pigger.es of the Waikato. Hs attributed the splendid condition of the pigs he had seen in the Waikato to the results of milk-feeding. Dr Hammond said he was surprised at the weights of the weanorß he had seen in the Waikato. Milk-fed pigs were -highly regarded in England, but ho added that it was desirable to top them off with gTain.
