DOMINION TOURNAMENT. INTER-ISLAND MATCH. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Jan. 18. The Dominion croquet tournament commenced to-day in ideal weather, but with a very gusty wind. The in-ter-island match resulted in a win for the North Island by the narrow margin of one match, each winning three singles and the North Island having an advantage of two wins to one in the doubles. Results :

Singles.—A. J. Gibbs beat R. W. McCreath, 26—4; F. L. Hartnell bea’t G. Hart, 26—8; H. Stratton lost to A. H. Penn, 22—26; F. G. Bryan lost to J. Tannock, 16—26; Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Palmer,224;6 —4; D. McClymont lost to Mrs McLennan 8—26. Doubles.—Stratton and Mrs Watkins beat Penn and Mrs Palmer, 26 8; Gibbs and Bryan lost to Hart and Tannock, 22 —26; Hartnell and McClymont beat McCreath and Mrs McLennan 26 —25.
