WOODVILLE SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Woodvillc sale ns under: —A yarding of approximately 1600 head of sheep was submitted, the entry being com* prised practically of lambs on account of local farmers. At the outset the demand was very slow, indications being that very few sales would tako effect; nevertheless, as the sale progressed we did effect several sales at slightly reduced rates to those ruling the previous week and have finally to report practically u total clearance. Quotations: —Top shorn wethers lambse, 15s, 15s 6d, 15s 9d, 16s, 16s 6d to 16s 9d; shorn b.f. lambs, good forward condition, 15s, 15s 9d, 16s 3d to 17s; shorn medium ewe lambs, 15s, 16s, 17s 9d to 19s; small m.s. lambs, 7s 6d, Bs, 8s 6d, 9 to 11s 6d; 2-tli wethers, 22s 3d; 4 and 6th wethors, 23s Id. BULLS SALE. Dalgcty and Coy., Ltd., report on the Bulls sale held on Monday, when a good yarding of lambs were penned. There was only a small attendance of buyers present and a quiet sale resulted. However, vendors were prepared to meet the market and the bulk of the entry changed hands at prices showing a decline of Is a head on recent sales. A fair entry of fat sheep sold on a par with ruling rates. There keen competition at pi-ices on a par witlf" was a fair entry of beef, which sold under the previous sale. Only three pens of store Jersey heifers were yarded, and these changed hands at from £2 to £3 according to quality. We quote:—Fat Lambs, 19s, 21s 3d, 22s 6d; crossbred 2th wethers, 22s 6d, 235; Southdown wethers, 20s 6d, 22s 6d; b.f, wethers and maiden ewes, 19s 3d to 265; breeding ewes, 7s 3d, 9s Id; woolly b.f. lambs, 17s Id; shorn b.f. lambs, 7s 3d, 8s Bd, 9s 6d, 9s 9d, 10s 6d, 11s 3d, 11s 9d, 12s 3d, 12s Bd, 14s lOd, 16s; w.f. wether lamb 3,10 s 6d, 13s 9d, 14s 7d 15s; weaners, 14s, 15s, 16s; light stores, 21s, 235, 24s 6d; stores, 28s 30s. Baconers, £3 £3 Is, Fat heifers £4 12s; fat and forward cows, £3, £3 4s, £3 9s; fat cows, dairy sorts, £4, £4 Is, £5, £5 Is, £5 6s, £5 13s, £5 18s, £6, £6 3s; 18mos, heifers, r.w.b., £3 10s; weaner heifers, £2 10s, £3.
