ALTAR AND STAGING FOR CATHOLIC CENTENARY.—Contractors have been busy in the erection of a large platform in Western Springs Stadium, in preparation for the Catholic centenary celebrations. The building will cost about £lsoo. An altar will be set up under the tower-like structure (the baldachino) for use at the great gathering of Catholic men on the night of Thursday, March 3, and for celebrations of Mass on the Friday and Saturday. “Credo,” a religious play, will be presented on the platform on the Saturday night.
