MIGRANT ASIATICS.

AMERICAN INDIANS’ ORIGIN. EDMONTON, Dec. 20. Two archaeologists from the University of New Mexico have taken up headquarters at the University of Alberta while they try to prove their theory that from 8000 to 11,000 years ago Asiatic tribes, migrated to North America by way or the Behring Strait. Professor AV. L. Bliss, who is m charge of the research, said he believed successive waves of Jf6iatic immigrants crossed the strait and gradually pushed their wav east and south until they reached South America. "The fact is pretty' well established,” he said, “that early American Indians and natives of South America were descended from Asiatic tribes.” He hopes to find in Alberta traces of their progress.
