CREDIT FACILITIES.

FOR BRITISH FARMERS. SCHEME "DISCUSSED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Jan. 15. Consultations arc proceeding between the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Farmers’ Union concerning a scheme suggested by the union for providing short-term credit facilities lor farmers. The union’s report says the question of endeavouring to secure Government hacking for the scheme, which is insisted upon by the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation as a condition of its co-opcration, has not yet been discussed. It is hoped, if the short term scheme can be launched successfully, that the way will be paved for a reduction in the rates of interest of full long-term loans.
