The Council of the Queensland branch of the British Medical- Association has assured the State DirectorGeneral of Health (Sir Raphael that it is willing to co-operate in attempting to create the best possible medical service in Queensland. This decision was made after a meeting to discuss a letter sent by Sir Raphael Cilento to every doctor in Queensland. The letter, which was in the form of a questionnaire, is interpreted as meaning that the Government proposes soon to provide- public medical services. Doctors were asked whether they were willing to enrol with the Department of Public Health for the various types of hospital insurance or preventive medical work on a full-time oi a part-time basis.
