RANGITIKEI.
MAIITON, Jan. 10. A farewell was on Wednesday tendered Mrs P. J.. Sladden by the Martoll branch of the Plunket Society. Mrs Sladden. has held the ofliee at president of the branch for over 21 years. Mrs Sladden and Mr and Mrs Purnell were presented with a bouquet. a' button-hole and a shoulder spray respectively by Margaret Caithness and Prudence Church. On behalf of the past and present members of the advisory board, of which lie is chairman, Mr Purnell presented the guest with a handbag.
