'(Front Our Own Correspondent.) KELVIN GROVE, Jan. 15. The weather for the past few weeks has been intensely hot, although thero has been some heavy tain at intervale;. The weather has been ideal for haymaking. The heat is making the gardens dry and restricting the growth of vegetables., etc., although they had a good start earlier in the spring. One thing noticeable this seitron has been the absence of slugs. Alins G. O’Brien has been spending her school vacation with her sister. Mrs M. Ryan. Ah' and Airs Alabcy and family have returned heme after epcmlimr two weeks at ITimniert.on. Aliss Pauline Kensington is staying with her grandmother in Longburn.
