ENGAGEMENT.
WESTWOOD—LUCINSKY. The engagement is announced of Eileen, only daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Lucinskv, of Foxton, to Reginald, third son of Mr and Mrs M. Westwood, also of Foxton. TENNIS DANCE. TOURNAMENT CONCLUDES. An enjoyable dance was held on Saturday night at the pavilion of the Palmerston North Lawn Tennis Club to mark the conclusion of the Manawatu Association's tennis tournament. There was a large attendance of visiting and local players, and proceedings went with a swing under the direction of Mr Charles Reid, assisted hy Messrs C. S. Plank, T. Young, and C. Espiner. The supper arrangements were in the charge of Miss Babette Rodgers, assisted by a small band of helpers. An enthusiastic gathering cheered Mr Fox, secretary of the Palmerston North Tennis Club, for his splendid work in connection with the tournament, and a happy and informal gathering • concluded at midnight.
