CASE IN NORTH. Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, Jan. 15. Ann Maraea Ileke did not appear to answer a number of charges brought against her in the Magistrate’s Court at Kaitaia yesterday, the reason for her absence being given as sickness. She had to face charges of assault, using obscene language, failure to complv with the terms of her probation and committing mischief by damaging a culvert. Those charges which did not require defendant’s attendance were proceeded with and Mr G. N. Morris, S.M., intimated that he would enter convictions. he "would not impose sentence until he had defendant before him. On the major charge, an adjournment was granted for three days, the Magistrate saying that defendant could be brought before him at Wlia.ngarei for sentence.
