CRICKETERS INJURED.
Lacerations wero sustained by H. Piercy, a Kia Toa player, on Saturday afternoon, when ho was retrieving a hall from the Esplanade side of a wire fence, the top strand of which is barbed. He was attended by tho St. John Ambulance Brigade after which lie was able to resume play. Another Kia Toa player, J. Evans, was struck on the forehead by the ball. Although lie -received a nasty knock, he was not incapacitated.
